Whether you see Shakespeare in London or hike through the Incan villages of Peru, studying abroad will change your world.
The world has an urgent need for globally literate thinkers and doers. We’re proud to say that nearly half of our students study, intern, serve or research abroad during their time at Bryant.
In its most recent survey (2014-2015), the Institute of International Education ranked us No. 7 for study abroad participation among master’s degree-granting universities in the U.S. Some travel for a week or two as part of our Sophomore International Experience, perhaps through our U.S.-China Institute. Others spend a whole semester or year immersed in cultures and economies very different from their own. And many choose both, cultivating a broadened perspective that serves them for the rest of their life.
With hundreds of Bryant programs spanning 50 countries and six continents, you’re sure to find an option that changes how you view your world—forever.
Our introductory program for sophomores is so transformative, almost half of the students who try it choose a full study abroad program the following year.
The three-credit Sophomore International Experience includes a 10- to-12-day international journey during winter or summer break. The semester before you depart, you’ll receive an introduction to cultural norms, historical reading and analysis, language study and art appreciation. Faculty and staff will then travel with you, continuing to guide your journey of discovery.
For many students, this two-week international trip often sparks participation in the more extensive study abroad experience during junior year.
Will you head to Argentina or Australia, Bhutan or Botswana, Taiwan or Turkey? Will you study in English or immerse yourself in another language? Will you say yes to an internship? The choices are yours.
Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater are qualified for one of our semester- or year-long study abroad programs. Our partnerships with respected affiliate groups allow us to offer a deep range of cultural and work experiences in 50-plus countries across the globe.
Your cost of attendance, as well as any financial aid you may have, carry over to your time spent studying abroad as long as you remain enrolled full-time, allowing you to focus on your experience.
The academic program offered at the Bryant Zhuhai campus, located in Guangdong Province, China, mirrors Bryant’s nationally recognized curriculum and is taught in English. These partnerships facilitate faculty and student exchanges, research collaboration and joint educational, business and cultural programs.
You’ll have opportunities to learn Chinese history, culture, language and society. Through seminars, guided international study tours, study abroad and internship programs, you can experience firsthand the many facets of China and U.S.-China relations.
Our International Business (IB) students strengthen their business and language skills through customized study abroad opportunities in Spain, Chile, France, China and Italy. Each customized program offers an international internship and a study abroad experience.
We offer sponsored study abroad programs in most regions of the world, through direct exchange as well as partner relationships.
Direct exchange is available through Bryant’s partnership with the University of Birmingham in England. Through direct exchange, students pay their Bryant tuition as usual; their housing and meal plan (if applicable) would be paid directly to Birmingham. Course options include business, history, literature, cultural studies, science, and psychology.
