Health and Wellness
Bryant is committed to the overall well-being of its students. A healthy lifestyle that includes eating well, getting enough sleep, exercising, and reducing stress is critical to success inside, and outside, the classroom.
The professional staff of the Department of Health Services provides on-site medical care and wellness programs to help students get healthy – and stay healthy.
Health Services
Health Services provides routine and critical care for Bryant students, including:
- Medical care provided by a physician or nurse practitioners
- Nutrition and diet counseling
- Support services for persons with physical disabilities
- Wellness information
- Laboratory services
- Immunizations
Health Services is located on the first floor of Hall 16. They are open
Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 pm. Patients are seen by appointment. To schedule an appointment or for more information, please call 401-232-6220.
In the event of an emergency or after hours, local emergency medical technicians (EMT) are on call and can be reached by calling 401-232-6911.

All full-time Bryant students are required to show proof of health insurance coverage and complete a Health History Form.

Wellness Programs
Two full-time wellness educators are on staff to provide counseling and workshops on:
- Stress management
- Healthy eating
- Smoking cessation
- Dietary supplements
- Body image
- Sexual health
- Alcohol education
In addition, wellness education is incorporated into the Foundations for Learning curriculum, a required course for all incoming Bryant students.
Bryant H.E.A.L. (Health Education Awareness Leaders)
Bryant H.E.A.L. (Health Education Awareness Leaders) is a student organization that provides health and wellness information to fellow Bryant students. .
The mission of H.E.A.L. is to help students make educated and healthy lifestyle decisions through peer counseling, workshops, and campus events.
