Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino to give Bryant Commencement address May 16
Bryant announces honorary degree recipients
Larry Lucchino, president and CEO of the Boston Red Sox, will deliver Bryant University's Undergraduate Commencement address during ceremonies on Saturday, May 16. The 146th Commencement exercises will take place in the Main Tent adjacent to the Bryant Center and will be broadcast live on the Web. Mr. Lucchino, a 30-year veteran in Major League Baseball, was named one of "The Most Influential People in the World of Sports" by Business Week. He is one of five Bryant honorary degree recipients this year.
Lucchino, along with Malcom G. "Kim" Chace III, chairman of BankRI, and Gretchen Dow Simpson, renowned painter and owner of Gretchen Dow Simpson Studio in Pawtucket, R.I., will also receive honorary degrees on May 16.
Ernest A. Almonte '78, '85 MST, auditor general for the State of Rhode Island since 1994, will give the keynote address at Commencement exercises for the Graduate School of Business on Thursday, May 14.
Lisa Churchville, president and general manager of NBC 10 WJAR, will also receive an honorary degree at the Graduate School Commencement exercises.
