I knew Bryant was the school for me…when I found out Salmanson serves French fries EVERYDAY! But really, I first knew Bryant was the school for me when I hadn’t even been admitted, and already knew I wanted to represent the school as an Orientation Leader, and in other positions.
What surprised me the most about Bryant was…how easy it is to find a familiar face in a crowd. Walking into lunch or down the hall to a class, it’s easy to see people you know, and even easier to meet new friends.
I can’t believe I brought with me to Bryant…so many clothes- I don’t think I’ve worn more than half of them.
After graduating from Bryant, I hope to…use my education creatively to pursue a job in the retail world or event planning.
My best experience at Bryant so far was…my government class. The combination of perfect timing (smack dab in the middle of the election) and a great professor made studying the electoral process and our government interesting and exciting.
What I am most looking forward to during orientation is…meeting the new students and passing on what I’ve learned at Bryant already.
Words of advice for an incoming student… Start packing weeks before you think you need to. If you pack over a long period of time, you won’t forget anything. Search for packing lists online, but don’t fall for the gimmicks some department stores use to sell you unnecessary “college accessories.”
My favorite Bryant tradition is…So far, the Festival of Lights. The Rotunda looks beautiful with all the light reflecting in the ceiling, and President Machtley’s Christmas Carol sing-along was priceless!
