Internships

Internships are a great way to earn hands on experience, fortify your resume, and earn academic credit. Eligible juniors and seniors can apply the theory they have learned in the classroom to real-life situations in practical settings. Internships and practicum for credit must be approved by the academic department chair.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students must be a junior or senior having completed departmental prerequisites within the concentration, minor, or degree area of study for the Internship 391 course.
  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.  (For Finance 391, students must possess a minimum GPA of 2.5.)
  • Transfer students must have completed one full semester to establish a GPA and completed prerequisite coursework prior to applying for an internship. 
  • Students must also attend a mandatory Orientation to Academic Internships program, presented by the Amica Center for Career Education.
