The College of Business: International Business

To be successful in business today, students must look beyond borders and embrace global thinking and action. The International Business degree combines students’ living and learning environments to help them gain a competitive advantage upon graduation.

For more information about the Bachelor of Science in International Business, contact Assistant Professor Madan Annavarjula, International Business Coordinator, at mannavar@bryant.edu.

The Bachelor of Science in International Business

The BSIB curriculum exposes students to the international dimensions of business functions, as well as the cultural and historical contexts in which businesses operate. In addition, a business concentration in a specific area such as computer information systems, finance, management, or marketing provides the technical expertise and depth of understanding valued by employers.

Increased globalization will be a major driver of the employment market over the next 10 to 20 years, creating demand for multicultural awareness and aptitude, an emphasis on the international dimensions of core business skills, sensitivity to ethical issues that may vary across cultures, multilingual capabilities, and knowledge of macroeconomic and political policies.

BSIB students spend a semester immersed in an international academic experience – for example, study abroad – which greatly enhances the ability to cultivate global perspective and cultural aptitude. In addition, they must complete a 12 credit language minor.

BSIB students also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and receive course credit while working at corporations that conduct business internationally.
