Financial Aid

Investing in Your Future: Financial Aid and Scholarship Opportunities at Bryant

The value of a Bryant education stretches far beyond dollars and cents. The professional, cultural and personal growth and opportunities available to Bryant students will long outlast tuition payments. However, we understand that financing your education is a vital part of the decision about which college you will attend.

At Bryant, we are committed to helping you navigate the process of applying for and understanding the financial resources available to you. At any time, please contact our Office of Financial Aid with questions at finaid@bryant.edu or (401) 232-6020. For the upcoming academic year, Bryant will offer more than $10 million to incoming students alone in institutional grants and merit scholarships.

Financial Aid for Early Decision I and II Applicants

Early Decision applicants that are seeking financial aid are asked to complete an estimated financial aid form. Please submit the form to the Office of Financial Aid. If you are eligible for financial aid you will receive an estimated package with your decision letter in December. For more information please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 401-232-6020.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): http://fafsa.ed.gov.

All students who wish to be considered for need-based aid are required to submit the FAFSA. We encourage all applicants to submit the FAFSA, even if you are unsure of your eligibility. The results of your FAFSA will determine your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), which is the amount of your education you are responsible for contributing yearly. The difference between Bryant’s cost of attendance and your EFC is what the Office of Financial Aid works to meet with need-based grants, loans and work study options. While we cannot meet 100% of need for every student, we are committed to making attending Bryant as affordable as possible for each family.

Academic Scholarships

Academic scholarships at Bryant range from $6,000-$30,000. They are renewable for four years provided the student maintains the required GPA. Students are eligible for academic scholarships regardless of whether they apply for and/or qualify for need-based aid. Financial aid and merit scholarship selection are separate processes. Need-based financial aid is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid and merit scholarships are awarded by the Office of Admission.

For the 2010-2011 academic year, 90% of freshmen received financial aid. The average financial aid package was $20,116.
